What is the Playstack Design System?

The Playstack Design System is a collection of UI primitives, hooks, utilities, and patterns built for teams who need to move fast without compromising quality. Every component is designed to be copied directly into your project — not installed as a black-box dependency — so you stay in full control of the code.

Each piece is self-contained, accessible, and built to adapt. Take what you need, shape it to your product, and ship.

Built by Playstack

Playstack builds software across a wide range of industries — from hospitality and retail to enterprise and SaaS. We kept starting from scratch on every project, and this design system is our answer to that problem.

We’re building a foundation that can handle the full range of product challenges. Complex data surfaces, mobile-first flows, marketing pages, internal tooling — one coherent system that any Playstack product can grow from, regardless of the industry it’s built for.

Where we’re going

This is an active, evolving system. Right now it covers the core UI primitives well. What’s coming next is broader coverage — more data-heavy components, richer form patterns, industry-specific blocks, and a motion layer that feels consistent across web and mobile. Accessibility at WCAG 2.1 AA is the baseline throughout, not something bolted on at the end.

How to use it

Copy the components you need into your project. Read the code, understand it, and adapt it to your stack. There’s no CLI, no registry, no magic — just readable, ownable code.
